Flack’s Revenge is Opening up to Developers

I saw LinkedIn’s news which closely followed similar announcements from about ten other sites, and that does it! Yes, I have decided to open Flack’s Revenge to developers.

Some may dismiss this as a blatant PR move.  Well, I am in the PR profession, so this is hard to argue against.

Yet it really is more about becoming more mashable and integrated with other social sites.

Developers with skills in APIplex (said to have APIplexy) will be able to access my various resources and connect them with their sites of interest.

You will be able to repurpose my vast library consisting of perhaps two-three deeply incisive posts per week over the past year.  You will be able to really get into my guts and mind meld my various RSS, Atom and Neuron feeds.

I may actually enjoy all this, although I am really very ticklish, so please take care not to overflow my buffers or flood my caches in the process (and please do remember to close up my ports when you are finished).

It is a bold move, I know, some might say quite foolish, as I am doing this all outside the embrace of Google Open Social.

But I feel the butt of the long tail is solidly behind me, and look forward to a robust Flack’s Revenge ecosystem as the mashup Gods smile down upon me and my blog.
